Jumpy K-9 causes bomb scare at Eastwood

A jumpy bomb-sniffing dog disrupted work at a building in Eastwood in Libis, Quezon City Thursday morning.

According to reports, the 1800 Building in Eastwood had to be evacuated after a sniff dog sat beside a bag three times, prompting building security to call for an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team from the Quezon City Police District.

Police found alcohol, powder, and other personal items in the bag.

Although bomb threats should never be taken lightly, EOD head Inspector Noel Sublay said the K-9 unit of the building’s security agency should undergo more training.
