BI: Don’t blame us for defective passports

Burea of Immigration officer in charge Siegfred Mison warns Filipino travellers not to harass immigration officers at the airport if pages of their passports fall apart while undergoing clearance. According to Manila Bulletin, the Department of Foreign Affairs had earlier reported that some passports it issued last year were of inferior quality and that it is rectifying this problem by applying spine reinforcement tape to secure the book’s stitching.
