QC councilor proposes giving PHP1 million to quake victims

If Quezon City can afford it, then why not?

District 6 councilor Donato Matias recently filed a resolution authorizing Mayor Herbert Bautista to extend PHP1 million in financial assistance to the victims of the magnitude 7.2 earthquake in the Visayas.

“Matias said that a local disaster risk reduction and management council may transfer funds to support the work of other LDRRMC in areas declared under state of calamity,” reports Janvic Mateo in The Philippine Star.

Here’s hoping QC makes the right decision about this matter.
