Nov 29, Dec 1 & 7. This time, it’s really goodbye. After a protracted farewell from our beloved prima ballerina (she has been performing full versions of her favorite ballet pieces since 2011 as part of her three-year retirement plan), Lisa Macuja Elizalde is bidding adieu to her wonderful career on a happy note, with Peter Ilyich Tchaikovksy’s The Nutcracker, about a little girl named Masha whose generous spirit on Christmas Eve transports her to a magical land of dancing dolls, giant rats, a nutcracker who turns into a prince and the glamorous Sugar Plum Fairy. Joining Lisa on stage is her daughter Missy. Choreography will be by Vassily Vainonen and in charge of restaging are Osias Barroso Jr. and Natalia Raldugina. 7pm (Nov 29), 3pm (Dec 1 & 7).
