BIR executive’s QC home robbed

Maybe it’s time we should all put up electrified fences.

At around 1145 am on Tuesday, Oct 29, robbers broke into the home of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) West Pasig Regional Director Emilia Combes on Denver Dalton Street, Fil-Invest 2, Barangay Batasan Hills in Quezon City.

“The only persons at home that time were Combes two sons–Exxon, 23, and Anthony, 20—as well as the housemaid and her nephew,” reports Jeffrey Damicog in the Manila Bulletin. They were all overpowered and then hogtied by “at least five unidentified men.”

According to Combes, they lost more than PHP1 million worth of cash and valuables, which included two portable safety vaults containing jewelry.

Police suspect that a “robbery group” is responsible for the crime.
