“Sergeant Ernesto Clemente, 47, of the Philippine Army was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants at the corner of St. Mary Street and New York Avenue in Barangay E. Rodriguez, Cubao at past 8 pm on Monday, Nov 4,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Superintendent Ramon Pranada Jr., Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 7 chief revealed that “Clemente, who was seen talking to a woman before the shooting incident, sustained a gunshot wound to his neck from a 9mm pistol.”
Investigators are still trying to determine the motive behind the killing.
