SUSPECT #1: UNNAMED 15-YEAR-OLD MINOR
Scene of the crime: Sta Ana, Manila
The incident: “For his boldness in smoking marijuana in a public place, a 15-year-old boy was nabbed by the Manila Police District in Sta. Ana, Manila,” reports Itchie Cabayan in People’s Journal. Police brought the minor offender to the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. A concerned citizen saw the boy nonchalantly smoking pot at a neighborhood basketball court and reported the incident to the police. By the time police arrived, the boy was still huffing and puffing.

SUSPECT #2: PO1 VIRGILIO SAYAMAN
Scene of the crime: Malabon City
The incident: “A policeman who has been AWOL (absent without official leave) since 2011 was among three men arrested for using illegal drugs in Malabon City,” reports Nathaniel Melican in Philippine Daily Inquirer. Authorities busted PO1 Virgilio Sayaman, who was smoking shabu with Roger Manoco and Randy Cheng. They were having their session at Manoco’s house on Hasa-hasa Street, Dagat-dagatan, Malabon. Police also confiscated several drug paraphernalia, Sayaman’s police uniform and identification cards. Sayaman had been detailed in Pampanga until he went rogue in 2011.
WTH DUDE: Officer Sayaman, sayang naman. You just destroyed your career and your life.
