“An armed man named Manuel Taguin allegedly entered the Paint & Pretty Nail Spa on Matatag Street in Barangay (village) Pinyahan Thursday night, pretending to ask about its services on behalf of his wife,” reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Taguin, however, came back a few minutes later and announced a holdup. Thus, as the report revealed, “the five people inside the spa at the time were forced to give him PHP17,240 in cash, four cell phones, a Casio wristwatch, credit cards, ATM cards, and other IDs.”
While he was taking their things, the victims said that Taguin apologized to them, saying he was doing it for his son.
Police later revealed that Taguin had been previously linked to a bus robbery.
