DPWH Secretary says he’ll resign if bunkhouses for Yolanda victims are overpriced

Why are members of the Aquino administration so quick to offer their resignations? The latest one to do so is Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio Singson.

“At a recent briefing, Singson belied a Philippine Daily Inquirer report that there was overpricing in the construction of bunkhouses for survivors of Typhoon Yolanda,” reports ANC.

The report quoted Singson as saying, “I can tell you there’s no overpricing here. It is not overpriced. If it is overpriced, the following day I will submit my resignation to President Aquino.”

However, the report revealed that “Singson admitted some contractors may not have followed the specifications required for the bunkhouses.”

Uh…we don’t like the sound of that.
