Actor Vhong Navarro tied up, blindfolded, beaten inside BGC condo

What in heaven’s name is happening in Bonifacio Global City? First there was a makeshift drug lab in a condo and now this. (And, hey, we’re not even getting to condos with collapsing ceilings and deadly explosions.)

“Actor Vhong Navarro, one of the hosts of It’s Showtime, is currently recovering after he was mauled by a group of men inside a condominium unit in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on Wednesday, Jan 22,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to the statement released by Navarro’s manager, film director Chito Roño, the comedian was invited by a female friend to the condominium unit.

Once Navarro was in the premises of the condo, he was reportedly overpowered by a group of men. They tied him up, blindfolded him, and then beat him up. The men then proceeded to threaten Navarro and extort money from him.

Roño pointed out that the attack on Navarro was done for yet-unknown reasons. The exact phrase he used was “sa di pa malamang kadahilanan.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Roño went on to reveal that Navarro “may undergo an operation due to his injuries.” He also added that Navarro “is still unable to detail the incident as he cannot speak properly.”
