Traffic advisory: Mandaluyong re-routing on Sunday, Feb 9

Mandaluyong City marks its Liberation Day on Sunday, Feb 9, which means festivities, which means rerouting.

“Lorrie I. Lumabas, officer-in-charge of the Mandaluyong City Local Traffic Enforcement Unit, said some of the city’s streets will be closed while alternate routes will be provided to motorists,” reports Madelynne Dominguez in the Manila Bulletin.

Motorists, take note of the following:

1. At 6 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, portions of Kalentong St. and Shaw Boulevard will be closed to traffic.

2. Thus, all vehicles coming from Punta-Sta. Ana heading to Shaw Boulevard, San Juan, Sta. Mesa, Manila should take Lubiran Bridge, Barangay Bacood, Manila.

3. Meanwhile, all vehicles coming from Shaw Boulevard, San Juan and Sta. Mesa heading to Kalentong, Punta, Sta. Ana, should take Tagumbayan going to Lubiran Bridge then right to Kalentong.

4. All vehicles coming from Aglipay heading to Shaw Boulevard and San Juan City should take the route of Lubiran Bridge to Barangay Bacood.

5. All vehicles from Pasig bound for Manila, Kalentong, San Juan, should take Shaw Boulevard right turn to either Lee, Mabini, or Torres streets and left turn to Araullo St. then right to Hoover St. then Haig St. going to the Kalentong area.

**Or take Ortigas Avenue straight ahead to San Juan City.

**Or take Shaw Boulevard right to Gomezville then left turn to Haig St. and Kalentong.

6. All vehicles from San Juan bound to Makati or Pasig should take the alternate route of Ortigas Avenue going to EDSA.
