“Judge Elmo Alameda of the Makati Regional Trial Court-Branch 150 has allowed Janet Lim-Napoles to undergo check-up at a hospital after the alleged mastermind in the pork barrel scam complained of abnormal menstrual bleeding and her doctor said that she might have tumor in her ovary,” reports InterAksyon.com.
However, Alameda denied Napole’s motion to be examined at Luke’s Medical Center (SMLC) in Taguig City. Instead, she is only allowed to undergo check-up at the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The report added that “the government spends PHP5,000 a day or PHP150,000 a month in ‘guarding’ Napoles at Fort Sto.Domingo.”
Earlier reports also said it cost PHP150,000 each time Napoles is transported from Laguna to Manila.
