El Hogar time capsule removed? What time capsule?

Could this be just urban legend?

A newspaper article claims that the contents of a time capsule has been removed from embattled heritage building El Hogar Filipino in Binondo.

“The copper plaque with the engraved name of El Hogar Filipino and the building’s time capsule have been removed, raising fears that the new owner might tear down this century-old heritage structure,” reports Edgar Allan Sembrano in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

As far as we know, no one has seen the contents of the alleged time capsule yet.

El Hogar was built in 1914 by a Peruvian count as a wedding gift to Margarita Zobel.

In February 2014, its tenants were asked to move out of the building amid reports that a new owner has purchased the building.
