The It’s Showtime! host finally returned to the show last Saturday, March 8, two months after the mauling incident involving Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo. His last appearance was last Jan. 22. Vhong shared that he got to read everyone’s tweets and messages in Instagram. He thanked them for all the support, for believing in him, and for praying for him. “Masakit po ang paratangan ka ng isang bagay na hindi mo ginawa,” he said while crying.
It was also announced that Vhong will officially return to the show starting Monday next week. The whole group ended the episode with a group hug, which prompted fans to tweet their sentiments, and making the hashtags #ItsShowtime and #WelcomeBackVhong trend in Twitter.
