It’s quite unusual that such a high-traffic area would get robbed just like that. But then thieves must be getting better these days.
The City Best Seafood Garden on Tomas Morato Avenue in Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City reported that it lost close to PHP200,000 to a recent robbery.
“According to a report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Kamuning station, the burglary was discovered around 9:30am on Saturday, Mar 15, when the restaurant’s employees came in to start work,” reports Inquirer.net.
The employees saw that door to the administrative office had been forced open. When they went near the room, they saw that everything inside the room was in disarray. They immediately called the police.
Police investigators revealed that the burglars entered the restaurant through a hole intended for the installation of an exhaust fan and took the payroll money worth PHP134,000, as well as the restaurant’s cash sales of PHP42,000 and PHP16,000 worth of employees’ tips.
