It happened at around 1:30am on Thursday, Mar 20.
“Helena Belmonte—a 28-year-old Filipino-American residing at Unit E, 28th floor, Renaissance 1000 Tower, Meralco Avenue in Pasig—fell from the veranda of her unit into the 7th floor,” reports Rizal S. Obanil in Manila Bulletin Online.
According to the report, “Belmonte’s body was caught on top of an exhaust machine, but the victim’s relatives requested security personnel to leave the scene untouched.”
Belmonte’s boyfriend told police that before the incident, they came back to her unit with a female friend after attending a party. Then, he and the friend helped the drunk Belmonte to her bed and left for awhile. When they came back, they realized Belmonte wasn’t in bed anymore.
The incident is still under investigation.
