Jed Root signs up 21 Pinoy photographers, stylists and beauty experts

Their careers are about to skyrocket.

The influential creative management agency handling the careers of blogger Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) and makeup artist Laura Mercier, among others, has signed up at least 21 Pinoy photographers, fashion stylists, hair stylists and makeup artists after putting up its Asia headquarters in Manila.

From their office on Arnaiz Avenue in Makati City, “[At East | Jed Root] is putting the Pearl of the Orient back in business as the central hub for talents from key cities like Singapore and Jakarta,” reports Regina Belmonte and David Milan in The Philippine Star.

Why the Philippines? “I’ve always been interested in the Philippines and I know quite a few Filipinos back in New York. It was just kind of the perfect timing and I felt the Filipinos have a great sense of style, great taste, and it’s an up-and-coming market. I think the Philippines, in particular, is a very sort of western/eastern think pod of culture and taste and sensibilities,” Cai Subijano reported back in November in a Q&A with Jed Root for The Philippine Star

Included in At East | Jed Root’s roster are photographers (Jason Quibilan, MJ Suayan, Johann Bona, Mark Nicdao, Shaira Luna, Mau Mauricio, Samantha Lee, Edric Chen and BJ Pasucal) and stylists (Patrick Galang, Daryl Chang, Pam Quiñones, Suki Salvador and Angela Alarcon) and hair/makeup artists (Borge Aloba, Amanda Padilla, Cats del Rosario, Xeng Zulueta, Celeste Tuviera, Mark Familara and Omar Ermita).

This means more regional and international assignments for these Pinoy talents. We’re proud of and excited for you guys!
