QC wants theater owners to be considerate to Deaf people

We’re supporting this ordinance.

“The Quezon City Council approved on second reading recently an ordinance requiring all cinemas in the city to have a theater that exclusively screens movies with subtitles for the benefit of Deaf people,” reports Jeannette I. Andrade in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

In the draft ordinance authored by Councilor Alexis Herrera of the first district, PHP5,000 fine is suggested for movie house owners in Quezon City who fail to operate a theater showing movies with subtitles.
