What do you do when you’re thinking of running for mayor? Well, first, you must establish your residence in the city you’ll be running in. This is exactly what Senator Lito Lapid has done in a big way.
“Sen. Lito Lapid has reportedly bought a mansion worth PHP16 million in Barangay Pampang in this Angeles City, Pampanga apparently in preparation for his plan to run for mayor there,” reports Ding Cervantes in The Philippine Star.
The report pointed out that “former Pampanga first district congressman Carmelo Lazatin confirmed to The Philippine Star Lapid’s plan to run for mayor of Angeles City, noting the senator personally sought his support during the house’s blessing ceremony on Saturday, April 5.”
According to the report, Lazatin described Lapid’s new three-story house as “like a castle” with a small swimming pool. Located at the Friendship Plaza Subdivision, it’s said to be “no less than 1,000 square meters.”
