Malacañang shrugs off MRT woes, tells public try other rides

Wow, there are just no words for this.

“Malacañang is advising Metro Manila commuters to try other modes of transportation if they experience discomfort when riding the Metro Rail Transit (MRT),” reports Philstar.com.

In English: “Is the MRT the only way to travel through Metro Manila? Perhaps, it’s time people discover other option, yes? They should be encouraged to use other means of transportation.”

On EDSA alone, thousands of buses travel. These buses are not congested).”

Seriously, that’s your advice Sec. Coloma?

Quick, stop us from doing anything drastic.

  1. Are MRT and LRT at their maximum capacity? Cannot add more trips? More cars? Can't you sell tickets by vending machines, instead of using tellers? Taking a bus is more expensive and takes longer time.
