3-year-old boy drowns in Valenzuela City resort kiddie pool

It’s important to stay alert when kids are around.

At around 4pm on Thursday, April 10, Hazzef Kian Cahepe was found by his friends beneath the surface of the water in a pool that was only three feet deep at the Villa Martha Resort in Valenzuela City.

Valenzuela police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento revealed, “The boy was actually revived by one of the persons swimming in the pool so they rushed him to the nearest hospital in a tricycle but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.”

The Philstar.com report went on to explain that the boy’s uncle, Jeffrey Sanchez, had asked his sister Donna Mae’s permission to take her son with him to the resort. Hazzef was reportedly not too keen on going with his uncle.

Police Officer 3 Richelle Sinel said Hazzef had been left to play with his friends while while Sanchez drank with their relatives. At some point, one of the relatives noticed that Hazzef was missing. To their horror they found him in submerged in the kiddie pool.
