NAIA baggage loader arrested for stealing from passengers’ bags

People like him give the rest of us a bad name.

“John Kerwin Yola, 22, who has been working as a baggage loader at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for two years, was arrested after he was caught reportedly stealing cell phone accessories from the luggage of a passenger bound for the Middle East at Terminal 1 on Thursday night, April 10,” reports Rudy Santos in The Philippine Star.

Aviation Operations and Management Inc. head Librado Matibag said Yola “was allegedly seen with his right hand in the side compartment of an unlocked bag.”

The report added that this isn’t teh first time Yola has stolen from passengers’ luggage, as two of his fellow workers reportedly saw him and two others stealing an expensive cell phone from a passenger’s check-in luggage back in October 2013.

So, why did it take them so long to tell the authorities that Yola was a thief?
