Traffic Advisory: 94 sections of EDSA set for Holy Week repairs

Yes, you read that right.

“With the repair and concrete reblocking of at least 94 sections of Edsa set to start on Holy Tuesday (April 15), expect traffic to be heavy on the country’s busiest thoroughfare even during Holy Week,” reports Niña P. Calleja in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chair Francis Tolentino said that due to the repairs to be done by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), “portions of Shaw Boulevard, Ayala, Buendia and Kalayaan would be almost closed to traffic so the impact on traffic would be huge.”

Tolentino said that because of the extensive road works, the travel time of buses and other vehicles on EDSA may be longer by roughly three hours.
