Confeermed: Obama arrives in PHL on Apr 28

Save the date: US President Barack Obama will fly into Manila on April 28 and stay overnight.

It’s the final leg of his four-nation Asia circuit, which starts in Japan, followed by Korea and Malaysia. The dates were confirmed by the White House National Security Council.

“As we generally do around Presidential foreign travel, prior to departure we will provide senior administration officials to brief you on the schedule and some of the substantive issues that will be raised,” the NSC said. “The time and date for that briefing are still to be determined but we’ll push out information via the White House press release list when it is set,” the NSC is quoted as saying in this Manila Bulletin report.

If you were hosting Pres Obama, where would you take him to lunch? Tell us below.

  1. I'll take him to the Manila Hotel where most VIP's and dignitaries were billeted. It's where people like Gen. Douglas McArthur stayed while here in Manila and other previous US Presidents during their visit here in the country.
