Trike driver commits suicide, body found by son

A tricycle driver who had already tried to kill himself last year finally fulfilled his death wish.

“Tricycle driver Jose Calim had hung himself with a blanket he tied around his neck and his body was found by his 13-year-old son son hanging from a beam in the ceiling of their house in Sta. Cruz, Manila, on Monday morning, April 14,” reports Maricar B. Brizuela in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Calim’s son told the police that he and his father had gone out the night before to meet some of the latter’s friends for a few drinks. They got back home at 1am, and them he went out to go to an Internet shop. By the time he came back, his father was dead.

Our question: He took his 13-year-old out for drinks? (But, OK, may his soul find peace.)
