Woman found dead under Del Pan Bridge

Was she murdered?

“The body of the victim, 35-year-old Liwayway Rigo, was discovered at around 3am on Wednesday, April 16, by her partner, Steve Quintana, under the Del Pan Bridge in Manila,” reports ABS-CBN News correspondent Francis Faulve on ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to Quintana, he left Rigo at around 9pm on Tuesday, April 15, so he could look through the trash for some of the things they would sell. He said she had been sleeping under the bridge at that time.

However, Quintana said when he returned to the area around 3am, he saw that Rigo was already dead. He saw that her head was severely injured. Police later noted it seemed like Rigo’s head had been hit with a heavy object.

Police are still trying to find out who killed Rigo and what the motive for the killing may have been.
