Seven months after leaving the Philippines amid the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam controversy, the woman who could shed more light on the issue is back.
“Atty. Jessica ‘Gigi’ Reyes, the former chief of staff of Senator Juan Ponce-Enrile, returned to the country on Saturday, April 19, arriving on board Philippine Airlines flight PR 105 from San Francisco International Airport,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Upon her arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International (NAIA) Terminal 2, Reyes was met by by two security personnel in civilian attire and was whisked out of the terminal on a private vehicle.
The report noted that “Reyes has been accused by whistleblowers as the alleged bagman of Enrile for kickbacks from the pork barrel scam involving businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.”
However, Enrile has said he’s confident Reyes will not implicate him in the alleged anomaly because, as he claims, neither he or she had anything to do with the scam.
