PNP supports bill requiring LGBT police desks

Here’s to progressive thinking.

“Senior Superintendent Juanita S. Nebran—chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Women and Children Protection Center—said that they’re supporting House Bill 2571, which seeks to create lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) desks in police stations throughout the country,” reports Charissa Luci in the Manila Bulletin.

HB 2571, which was filed by TV reporter-turned-lawmaker Laguna 3rd District Rep. Sol Aragones, aims to address hate crime against members of the LGBT community.
