Heads up, job hunters!
“In a statement, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said that they’ll be holding 65 job fairs throughout the country on May 1, Labor Day,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The 65 job fairs will gather nearly 2,000 employers with 115,384 job vacancies. The job fairs will be held simultaneous in 16 regions.
The DOLE shared the following details:
—In the National Capital Region (NCR), they’ll hold 17 job fairs, including the biggest one at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, where 170 participating local and overseas employers will offer 25,000 vacancies. The other job fair venues in NCR are the SM Supermalls in the following areas: North Edsa, Megamall, Valenzuela, Fairview, Novaliches, Manila, San Lazaro, Sta. Mesa, Pasig, Marikina, South Mall, Las Pinas, Sucat, Bicutan, BF Paranaque, and Muntinlupa. —In the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), there will be two job fairs, one each at the Baguio Convention Center and at SM City Baguio.
—In Region 1, the job fairs will be at SM Rosales Mall, Rosales, Pangasinan and at LGU-Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
—In Region 2, the job fairs will be held at People’s Gym in Tuguegarao City and at the City Hall, Santiago City, Isabela.
—There will be 16 job fairs on Labor Day in Region 3 to be held at the following venues: Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija; Camp Servillano Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac; People’s Park, Provincial Capitol, in Balanga City, Bataan; President Ramon F. Magsaysay Sports Complex, Caballero St., Poblacion, Candelaria, Zambales; Provincial Capitol, Aurora; and at the following SM branches, SM City Baliuag; SM City Clark; SM City Marilao; SM City Olongapo; SM City Pampanga; SM City San Fernando; and SM City Tarlac.
—Five job fairs will be held in Region 4-A—Batangas City Sports Coliseum; District Ayala Mall, Imus, Cavite; SM City Mall, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna; SM City Mall, Lucena City; and SM City Mall, Taytay City.
—In Region 4-B, the DOLE regional office will mount a job fair at the Gaisano Mall, Calapan City, while in Region 5, the DOLE regional office will hold a job fair at SM Naga City.
—In Region 6, two job fairs will be held at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Ground and at SM Bacolod City.
—In Region 7, five job fairs will be mounted at the Abellana National Sports Complex; Cebu Provincial Capitol, Cebu City; Robinson’s Place, Dumaguete City; SM Atrium, Consolacion, Cebu; and SM Trade Hall, Cebu City.
—In Region 8, a job fair will be held at the St. Paul School of Business in Palo, Leyte.
—In Region 9, there will be a job fair in Zamboanga City.
—In Region 10, there will be a job fair at the SM Carpark, Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro.
—In Region 11, three simultaneous job fairs will be held at the Gaisano Mall of Davao, Davao City; SM City Davao, Davao City; and Gaisano Mall of Tagum City.
—In Region 12, two job fairs will be held at the KCC Mall Convention Center, Gen. Santos City and at the SM Mall Convention Center, also in Gen. Santos City.
—In CARAGA, there will be a job fair at the Robinson’s Place in Butuan City.
