From Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez in My Husband’s Lover to Alwyn Uytingco in Beki Boxer — everyone seems to be playing it gay.
The latest straight actor to gay it up for the camera is 19-year-old Kapuso star Kristoffer Martin, who wears drag on this Saturday’s episode of Magpakailanman, entitled “Siga Noon, Beki na Ngayon: The Christopher Aguinaldo Story.” No straight-acting, straight-looking gay guy here. We’re talking about falsies, Vidal Sassoon hairdo, makeup (as in makeup-kung-makeup levels), and baby tee (in pink, of course).
Should be a good watch. The story shows someone who was crossed over from being a siga to full beks mode. Christopher is your usual homophobe (just like his dad) who’s violent and who hates gay people, especially the cross-dressing kind. Things changed when he met this guy, and started feeling like he wanted to see him everyday. he also got close to some parlor gays in the neighborhood — and “blamed” them for his “change.”
And it’s the first time Kristoffer is doing such a role.
