MMDA entices more ferry riders with free rides, coffee

On April 28, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will formally reopen the Pasig River Ferry system at the Guadalupe terminal in Makati City.

“The ferry service will operate free for one week, from 6am to 7pm, starting on Monday and each passenger will also be given free coffee,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report added that “at least two private operators will start their operation with five boats that will run on three routes: from Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City to Guadalupe, Makati City; from Guadalupe to Escolta, Manila; and Guadalupe to Plaza Mexico via Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila.”
