Who performed at the Obama state dinner in Malacañang

Only the best got to perform in front of US President Barack Obama last night, April 28, during the state dinner held at The Malacañan Palace.

The Philippine Madrigal Singers opened with their versions of “Kaisa-Isa Niyan” and, ahem, “Da Coconut Nut.”

Apl.de.Ap performed “I’ve Got a Feeling,” the hit song of his group Black Eyed Peas, accompanied by traditional dance.

Kuh Ledesma sang “Let’s Stay Together,” reportedly one of Obama’s favorite songs.

Other world-class singers who performed: Leo Valdez (who layed the engineer in Miss Saigon), Bituin Escalante, the Bayanihan Philippine Dance Company, and the Powerdance Company.

And oh, our local version of Oprah Winfrey (check out her photos below) was also there, together with Boy Abunda, and Mother Lily Monteverde of Regal Films.
