Workshop: Make your own succulent dish garden (May 18)

Somebody who goes about putting up an art exhibit called F#%K Art Let’s Garden must have some very interesting things to teach.

Femi Cachola, a graduate of the UST College of Fine Arts, is in perpetual search for self-expression. She’s a video and graphics priestess for TV and advertising; an experienced muralist; a dabbler with oils and acrylic on canvass; and an adept with a needle and scissors. 

Under the crafting name Gawani Femi, she’s made pins and plushies from felt and potted plants with painted faces.

Her recent foray into gardening led to the aforementioned art exhibit, which she put up with Kars Capino. Each of them presented five mini gardens inspired by icons in arts and literature. (See photos at www.facebook.com/FKARTLetsGarden).
