In Pampanga, a roller coaster and a zipline in one

“Zip-lines come in many forms, most often used as a means of entertainment and torture,” according to Wikipedia.

Still, if insane things that make you scream are your thing, then you are going to like this one.

The newly opened SandBox, an adventure park in Porac, Pampanga, has what they call the Avatar One, a roller coaster zip-line. We can’t resist making a reference to blue creatures here, but figure that after taking this ride, pasty pale will probably be your color.

You start the ride from vertiginous 12 meters high suspended on ropes and cables attached to a pulley moving down a steel snake held up by more ropes and cables. You push off, and it is 180 meters of ups, downs, zigs, zags, and going around and around. After your ride, it’s a safe bet that your general mood will be shaky all over.

This is supposedly the first roller coaster zipline in Asia.

If that isn’t enough for you, you can also punish yourself on Giant Swing, Aerial Walk Challenge, a ropes course, and Pump Track for bikers.

Us? We think we’ll stick to the kite-flying.
