We all thought everything was okay na with Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago after the actress posted a photo of them together with their kids last June 28, taken at a restaurant in Eastwood, Quezon City.
In a photo shoot last July 18, Claudine revealed her several scars and wounds – some of them looking like cigarette burns. According to a recent news report of Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras, Claudine is currently having her wounds and scars treated by wound specialist Dr. Acel Amping-Chicano, who noted that they are not fresh. “Highly pigmented na sobrang itim yung kanyang surrounding. Ibig sabihin, matagal na, matagal na nangyari yun. Hindi yun bago lang.”
Claudine also shared that she kept this a secret for the longest time and that even her family didn’t know about it. “Hindi nakita ng pamilya ko. Na-accept ko na, na battered wife ako. And so para makatulong sa iba, lumabas na rin ako.”
While fans and supporters have expressed their love and concern for the actress, there are those who are criticizing her, asking why she had to do a photo shoot for it. Some are even claiming that the wounds and scars are not true because Claudine supposedly had been wearing shorts in her Instagram posts lately, showing clean, wound-less and scar-less thighs.
