EDSA road rage encounter: Men draw guns over dispute

Why do so many people think they’re the kings of the world?

“On Monday afternoon, September 1, a Twitter user posted a photo of about four armed men seemingly assaulting the driver of an SUV while three other cars surrounded it,” reports By Julliane Love De Jesus on Inquirer.net.

The report, however, said that “the motorist wasn’t clear what happened before the gun-wielding men scrambled out of their vehicles and pointed their weapons at the SUV.”

The motorist was quoted as saying, “I honesty don’t know exactly what happened, but cars behind the ones in the photo stopped (and) then swerved to avoid the accident.”

Meanwhile, the report also cited information from “a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Metrobase officer, who requested anonymity.”

According to the MMDA employee, “reports reached their office that a closed van collided with a Hi-Ace van between Edsa-Ortigas and Santolan.”

The MMDA employee called it a “road rage incident.”

The report added: “A Mandaluyong City police officer said the incident reached their office but when responding policemen went to Edsa, the traffic altercation reportedly had been settled.”
