“A two-year-old girl drowned in floods while waiting for rescue inside her home in Barangay Bagong Silangan in Quezon City Friday morning, September 19,” reports Dexter Ganibe on ABS-CBNnews.com.
No other details were available about the child’s death.
Meanhile, the Office of Civil Defense added said at least 800 families have been rescued in the flood-prone barangay.
The report noted: “Disaster officials have also launched rescue operations in Barangays Gulod, Bagbag, Damayang Lagi, Imelda, and Roxas District.”
