“Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga announced that they have cut off power in some neighborhoods in Metro Manila, as well as in some nearby areas, due to floods,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Zaldarriaga likewise asked Meralco customers to “switch off their main breakers themselves if flood waters already begin to enter their homes.”
Meralco revealed it has switched off power in the following areas due to flooding:
Quezon City — Roosevelt Avenue, Champaca St. in Roxas District, Scout Ojeda
Balintawak — Cypress Village, Kaingin Village, Parkway Village, Old Samson Road, Brgy. Apolonio Samson
New Manila — Brgy. Tatalon
San Francisco Del Monte — Brgys. Damayan, Del Monte, Masambong, Matalahib, Talayan, Bgy Mariblo, Paraiso
Kamuning — Brgy. Roxas
PugadLawin — Brgys. Katipunan and San Antonio
Malabon — Brgys. Acacia, Potrero, Tinajeros, Tugatog, Marcelo Compound, Goldendale Village, La Trinidad Subd.
