We have ourselves a gold medal!
“On Wednesday, October 1, the Philippines finally won a gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea when Daniel Caluag clinched the gold after dominating the BMX cycling event,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted that “Masahiro Sampei of Japan came in at second while Yan Zhu of China settled for the bronze.”
Caluag’s win brings the country’s medal haul to seven. Aside from Caluag’s gold, we have two silver and four bronze medals from other events.
