Japan gives more visa privileges to Pinoys

We’re still required to get visas, but the Japanese government has extended the validity period for multiple-entry visas for Filipinos for up to five years.

“According to the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, the substantial relaxation of multiple visas for the three countries started on September 30,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The Japanese embassy also added that “applicants residing outside of their countries of origin are allowed apply now at the diplomatic mission which has jurisdiction over their place of residence.”

It may be recalled that earlier this year, the Japanese government decided to waive visa requirements for tourists from Thailand and Malaysia and allow the issuance of multiple-entry visas for visitors from both the Philippines and Vietnam.
