Yes, our national debt has increased.
“Data from the Bureau of Treasury show that the national government’s debt rose to PHP5.713 trillion at the end of August,” reports Rain Castro on InterAksyon.com.
Our debt was at PHP5.683 trillion at end-July.
The report noted: “Given a population of 92.34 million, this means that every Filipino, as of the end of August, had a debt of PHP61,837.”
