We’re dying to find out what’s going to come out of this dark accusation.
“Atty. JV Bautista—United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) Secretary General and one of Vice President Jejomar Binay’s spokesperson—claimed that there is a well-funded campaign to discredit the VP ahead of the 2016 elections called Oplan Stop Nognog in 2016,” reports ANC.
Bautista accused Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas as the so-called brains behind the alleged operation.
Bautista explained: “‘Nognog’ is a longtime character in a comic strip. He’s supposed to be small dark skinned man. If you ask any Liberal Party operative, when they speak of the VP they refer to him under the code ‘Nognog’ derisively.”
Bautista also named Binay accusers Renato Bondal and former Makti City vice mayor Ernesto Bondal as being one of the conspirators, along with Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.
Bautista even said, “The Vice President is a statesman, he cannot go down to the level of Trillanes and Cayetano na parang ginagawang palengke lang ang sub-committee. The VP will maintain and preserve the dignity of his office. He is prepared and poised to become the leader of this country from the highest office of the land.”
