Crumbs List: Where homebakers are at

For homebakers, homebaker wannabes and addicts, look no further than Crumbs List: Pastry Depot. It used to be Cocoa Pantry, an online bakers’ supplies store that ships supplies to them bakers, “but we made a lot of friends with our customers who were homebakers so I thought, why not put up a physical store that features them as well” explains Risha Tobias, an architect who is a huge baking enthusiast.

Risha knows the thrill—and the hassle—of discovering an underground and underrated baker all too well so Risha works hard by making sure the goods you’ll find at Crumbs List could only be found there. “Ayoko yung masyadong sikat na. Gusto ko yung underground pa,” Risha insists.

With good reason. On the afternoon that Coconuts Manila dropped by, Crumbs List had on offer a variety of goodies from 9 different homebakers that we haven’t seen in any bazaar, market, or what-have-you.

So if you’re one of those forever on the lookout for the next-big-thing, or you have a potluck party tonight and still don’t know what to bring, think of Crumbs List as a drop-off point where you can pick up your sweet stash.

Of course, there are the usual suspects—chocolate chip cookies, crinkles, food for the gods, red velvet anything, salted caramel everything. But along with these are Mrs Z’s Chocholate Yema Cupcakes (PHP75), Oh! Goodies Pili Tots (PHP145 for a dozen), The Stocky Chef’s Brownie cookie Sandwiches (PHP160), and the one that caught our eye as soon as we entered: Sugar Babies Banana Nutella Cookie Tarts (PHP210 for 4).

Crumbs List is only a month old, but Risha has yet to stop taste-testing more bakers to put onsite. She has three more bakers to make her list a solid dozen. We cannot wait to get our hands on Sweet Bite’s Oreo Nutella Brownie Cup—brownie cup!—and what are these Lecheroons?
