Wife of Camarines Norte governor surfaces, reveals husband’s infidelity

This story’s a contender for the year’s most scandalous tale.

“Josefina ‘Josie’ Tallado — the wife of Camarines Norte Gov. Edgardo Tallado, whom he had claimed to be missing since October 17 — surfaced on Wednesday, October 22, and revealed she had left their home because she is afraid her husband might kill her,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

In an interview on ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda, Josie denied her husband’s announcement that she was kidnapped in Lupi, Camarines Sur last Fri. The governor had recently gone on TV, weeping and asking people to help find his wife.

Josie is now contradicting what he said, saying, “I never went missing and I wasn’t kidnapped. I left my home because I was afraid I wasn’t safe there.”

The report noted: “She explained that last week her husband accused her of posting a naked picture of his mistress on Facebook. During the confrontation, she said her husband was hiding a gun tucked behind him.”

Josie said she had long known about her husband’s infidelity but had endured it.

Josie’s lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan, revealed: “The picture is so compromising. It shows the mistress naked and masturbating. That’s graphic. The governor felt humiliated and so did his mistress, so he blamed his wife.”
