Kris Aquino plans to quit showbiz in 2016

In the Oct. 29 episode of her morning show Kris TV, Kris Aquino revealed that she plans to be in showbiz for only 20 years. This year is already her 18th year in showbiz, which makes the year 2016 her 20th, supposedly her last.
 
“Sobrang swerte ko na 18 years na ako dito,” the host, actress, and in-demand endorser said. “May cut-off ako. Sinabi ko na after 20 years, sana I can walk away gracefully. Pero syempre naman kailangan mabuhay ng mga anak ko.”
 
This is exactly why Kris is now a businesswoman; she owns a franchise of Chowking, a brand she endorses. She clarifies, however, that the franchise is not her talent fee. “Hindi ito galing sa talent fee because I felt I would have less at stake kung talent fee lang, so kailangan talaga galing sa pera na pinag-ipunan.”
 
Kris shared that she went into business for the sake of her sons. “Kasi parang inisip ko, how much longer can I work at the level that I work, and fame is so fleeting.”
