Bus bursts into flames in front of Heritage Hotel in Pasay

Sometime past 6am on Sat, Nov 1, a Valisno Express bus went up in flames in front of the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City. The bus had been on its way to Tungko in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

“Driver Ronald Domingo said he heard a noise coming from the bus’ engine and then the brakes failed to work. He maneuvered the bus near the hotel to prevent it from hitting other vehicles along EDSA,” reports Dennis Datu on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Fortunately, no passengers were injured. Domingo, however, sustained injuries because he attempted to put out the fire.

The report noted: “Arson investigator FO3 Ariel Lacasabdile of the Pasay Fire Department said they are looking at short circuit or overheated engine as the possible cause of the blaze.”
