The owners of El Hogar have removed the perimeter fence it mounted yesterday around the controversial 1917 building.
Coconuts Manila reported yesterday than Engineer Rogelio Legaspi from Manila’s City Hall visited the site on the afternoon of November 6 and discovered that El Hogar’s new owners did not have a fencing permit.
The fence, made of blue GI sheets, effectively covered the sidewalk along Juan Luna and Muelle dela Industria in Binondo.
But concrete barriers similar to those placed in highways to divide lanes are still there, leading concerned citizens to suspect that the building’s unidentified owners plan to demolish it soon.
