PHP2 million cash stolen from Fort Bonifacio Naval Station

Who could have done it?

“At least PHP2 million was stolen from a commissary center inside the Bonifacio Naval Station in Taguig City,” reports Jay Ruiz on ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to Lt. Cmdr. Marineth Domingo, chief of the Navy public affairs office, “the theft was discovered around 7 a.m. on Monday, November 17, when personnel of the Commissary Exchange Service reported to work.”

The report noted: “Based on initial investigation, the huge amount of money was taken from the manager’s vault inside her office. Although the exact amount of money is still being validated, Domingo said that at least P2 million was stolen.”

The Southern Police District is conducting the investigation on the robbery.

The report revealed that “Domingo declined to answer questions on whether the robbery was an inside job.”
