This calls for a HUGE sigh of relief.

“An All Nippon Airways flight (NH950) bound for Tokyo turned back to Manila on Friday, November 21, for an emergency landing after smoke billowed from its cockpit,” reports Sun.Star.

The report said the plane departed at 9:54am. It experienced the problem 35 minutes after it took off.

All the 173 passengers and 10 crew members were safe as the plane touched down safely at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is conducting an investigation on the incident.

There is no update yet on when the passengers will resume the trip.
