If you like the feel of the wind in your hair, Guimaras has a new selfie hot spot for you.

In the town of San Lorenzo, windmills measuring 80 meters high and 40 meters wide have been erected by Trans-Asia Renewable Energy Corporation.

The 27 windmills, built at a cost of PHP6.7 billion, are expected to generate 54 megawatts when completed.

Guimaras has been popular with tourists for its white-sand beaches, biking trails and sweet mangoes — most of these are located on the side of the island that faces Iloilo. San Lorenzo, where the windmills are, is along Guimaras Strait, which faces Bacolod.

Anyway, back to the selfies. Here are some samples, knock yourself out.
